Dr Vicky Lockie is an experienced GP who joined the practice in August 2021. We are very fortunate to have Vicky as part of the team, as her name has spread far and wide in the Noosa area since she moved from Toowoomba in 2016. She works on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Vicky has a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and medical education.

Dr van der Meer completed her medical degree at James Cook University and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. She possesses advanced skills in Mental Health and a diploma in clinical art therapy.
As a rural generalist, Dr van der Meer has enjoyed a diverse career throughout North Queensland, most recently on Magnetic and Norfolk Islands. She has relocated to the Sunshine Coast with her husband and school-aged children
Dr van der Meer enjoys all aspects of General Practice and believes in the value and privilege of a therapeutic relationship where clinician and patient walk a journey to better health together.

Dr Poshi De Silva is an Australian trained pain medicine physician. He is dual-qualifed in Pain Medicine and General Practice. He obtained his MBBS degree in 2005. Having completed his FRACGP in 2018, he has undergone further specialty training in Pain Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Gold Coast Health Service and was awarded fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2022.
Dr De Silva does private practice at Noosa Heads Medical, St Vincents Hospital Brisbane, Brisbane Private Hospital and Sunnybank Private Hospital in addition to his public engagement as a staff specialist in Pain Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr De Silva has experience in occupational medicine and injury management. He is a member of several professional associations including Spinal Interventional Society, European Pain Federation, Australian Pain Society and International Association of the Study of Pain. He also holds an academic title with University of Queensland as a senior lecturer.
Dr De Silva believes in holistic integrated patient care and utilises multidisciplinary, multimodal and interventional approaches for management of pain.

Prof Harry Jacobs worked as a GP for 32 years in the same practice in Mackay, NQ. During that time, Prof Jacobs also worked as a GP academic, teaching GP Registrars and medical students. Prof Jacobs continues that association with James Cook University as adjunct Associate Professor. Since retiring to live on the Sunshine Coast in 2011, has regularly provided locum relief to Noosa Heads Medical.

Julie Boyd is an accomplished Nurse Practitioner known for delivering refined, high-level clinical care with a deeply personalised approach. Julie offers a premium healthcare experience that blends medical expertise with discretion, warmth, and exceptional attention to detail.
With advanced qualifications as a Nurse Practitioner and Diabetes Educator, Julie also holds Graduate Certificates in Gerontology, Diabetes Education, and SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training). She is currently undertaking further postgraduate study at Monash University to qualify as a Forensic Nurse Examiner, reflecting her ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and professional evolution.
Julie provides comprehensive care across the lifespan, welcoming children (from 12 weeks), adolescents, and adults. She has a special interest in complex and chronic conditions, with particular expertise in:
- Diabetes management (Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes, adults and children)
- Women’s health, including perimenopause and menopause management
- Medical weight management and metabolic health
- Chronic disease management and preventative health
Julie is known for her ability to combine evidence-based medicine with a holistic, lifestyle-focused approach. Her consultations are unhurried, thoughtful, and tailored—ensuring every patient feels heard, understood, and empowered in their health journey.
Her philosophy centres on precision, prevention, and partnership. Julie works collaboratively with her patients to optimise long-term health outcomes, enhance quality of life, and support confident, informed decision-making.

Joy was appointment as Practice Manager in September 2025.

Kelly joined as Practice Nurse in March 2026.

Ashley joined as Practice Nurse in April 2026

Alana joined in March 2023. Her very approachable, friendly manner has impressed everyone. She has experience in working in the health sector, having managed her husband’s health-related practice for many years. Alana works from Monday to Wednesday.

Laura joined as Medical Receptionist in September 2025.
