Dr Nick Hummel has been a GP since 1990, initially in rural Tasmania before he moved to Noosa Heads in 2005.
He is committed to providing full primary care to his loyal patients whom he has managed over the years. Dr Hummel works Mondays -Saturdays.
If there is time in his schedule ,he will consider taking on new patients who are looking for a new GP.
Dr Vicky Lockie is an experienced GP who joined the practice in August 2021. We are very fortunate to have Vicky as part of the team ,as her name has spread far and wide in the Noosa area since she moved from Toowoomba in 2016. She works on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Vicky has a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and medical education. Please note that Vicky is no longer using her previous married name of “Steele”
Prof Harry Jacobs worked as a GP for 32 years in the same practice in Mackay, NQ. During that time, Harry also worked as a GP academic teaching GP Registrars and medical students. Harry continues that association with James Cook University as adjunct Associate Professor. Since retiring to live on the Sunshine Coast in 2011, Harry has regularly provided locum relief for Dr Nick Hummel when he is away.
Dr Cherry Bain joined the practice team in April 2021. Many Noosa “locals” will know Dr Bain well as she is long -standing respected member of the medical and wider community of Noosa. Dr Bain provides locum relief on the days when Dr Hummel is away .
Dr Chris Topovsek is an experienced GP with a special interest in skin cancer and skin cancer surgery. Additionally, he has a love of military medicine with deployments to the Solomon Islands, Border Protection and the Middle East. Chris is currently studying for a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine part time at James Cook University. He loves spending time with family and friends, and his labradors. His hobbies include guitar and fly fishing among many others.
Chris is joining the team on 15/1/24 to assist while Nick takes extended sick leave.

Rhonda Davis, endorsed enrolled nurse has many years’ experience working in a general practice environment. She has worked with Dr Hummel for over 17 years as his practice nurse .
This has resulted in important continuity and familiarity for patients of the practice.
Rhonda works as a nurse from Tuesdays to Fridays. She shares the Saturday reception roster with Brigitte and Alana .
Brigitte is a long time local and has worked since 2011 in Allied Health and as a part time remedial massage therapist. She usually works on Thursday and Friday, and on 2 in 4 Saturdays. On Tuesdays, Brigitte immerses herself in office management .We welcome her friendly, outgoing, but always professional approach towards our patients. Her organisational skills are second to none.
Alana is the newest member of our team. having joined us in March 2023. Her very approachable ,friendly manner has impressed everyone. She has experience in working in the health sector, having managed her husband’s health -related practice for many years. Alana works from Monday to Wednesday and on 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Jo Williamson is well known to patients of the practice and has been Dr Hummel’s practice manager for over 13 years.
She is familiar and comfortable with all aspects of practice administration.
Jo manages the payroll and staff contracts offsite . She contracts to the practice for additional offsite practice management services, as required
